Total profit count so far

I was not really active during the months of june and july due to some personal vacation… The total profit count since I began this site ran up from 82.5 ES points around the end of May (and a -.50pt loss on oil) to 88.25 ES points at this moment. I will not hesitate to say to all of you and myself that I could have done better if I had made some better calls, especially in this last runup.

But when looking back, the market always looks easy to read, and in the end I still have profits so I shouldn’t complain too much. Let’s see what this last trade will bring to me and all of you who dare to stand in front of the storm of fake optimism.

Taking up a double swingshort here

Market really just keeps running up, but the correction is overdue. So I am taking a double short swingtrade right here at the 1000.00 level. I am looking for a profit of over 25 points on both shorts, if however the market keeps running up I will have to admit I was wrong and take the loss at around 1020.00.

People are forgetting that the unemployment rate keeps going up, banks are increasing their provisions for people and companies who will not be able to pay off their debts if the recession lasts longer than expected.

If I walk the streets today, I have the feeling that people are only beginning to start spending less and not the end of this recession. Good luck trading in these wild markets!

The reverse ended up in profit!

As planned, I reversed my trade at the 940 level last week, and today I can already take my 25 point profit to make up for the losses from last week. What a ride this market is having!

I will be looking to get short if we have another pop in the market because a correction is due to occur in the next couple of weeks. Earnings are coming out better than expected, but the profits that are left are peanuts if you compare them with 2 years ago.

I bet it will be raining buy-advices from analysts, but that’s just so that they can get out of their long positions and hand them over to the general crowd which is getting greedy again. Which is what started the whole crisis, greed…

Stopped out/Reversed the swingtrade

Painfull as it is, I got stopped out of my swingtrade for an 18 point loss. As planned, I reversed the short to a long with a target and a stoploss of 25 points.

Since the tops of earlier this year have been broken, we should move even higher from here, even though it looks unlikely. Remember that the market can stay unreal longer than you can stay solvent!

Swingtrade/Daytrade

Hello people, back from vacation from Vietnam, took alot longer than I expected… Unfourtunately I was unable to post on my blog due to the fact that I forgot my password at home.

I am entering a swingtrade to the short side on ES at these levels (922.00) and a daytrade at the same level. The target for the swingtrade is <900.00 and the stoploss/reverse is at around 940.00. The target and stoploss for the daytrade is at +5/-5 points.

I am on holiday to Vietnam untill end of june, I got stopped out of the second part of that ES short at 915.00.

I put a stop on one out of 2 ES shorts at 888.75 for a +15.00 ES points profit. If it does not hit, I will let it run alongside the second short. I see no reason for the market to be going up from here on out, but you never know what happens…

As you can see the former support level has turned into a resistance level, I expect this resistance to hold firm and that we will continue the long term downtrend. If ES goes back to the 910.00 level, I will be adding to the swingtrade that I started yesterday at 897.50. I moved the stop higher to 915.00 from 912.50 and will be looking to reverse the short to a long if we do break those levels.
